What's new
What has changed in mailniño. The app offers you a new version on its own — or download it from the home page.
1.3.3 — 1 October 2026
New
- Right-click an address — when writing (To, Cc, Bcc), in a message header and on guests in the calendar — to copy it, save or edit the contact, add it to a group or delete it from the address book. When writing you can also move it between To, Cc and Bcc, or remove it.
- Send to a whole group: start typing a group name in To and the whole group is offered.
- Text fields have a menu in mailniño style — cut, copy, paste, paste as plain text, select all, and on Windows also suggested spelling fixes.
- A deleted contact no longer comes back on its own – you can save it back to the address book by hand any time.
- Linux: typos are underlined (when a dictionary for the language is installed, e.g.
hunspell-en-us).
Fixed
- Addresses from the address book are suggested again in a separate compose window.
1.3.2 — 28 September 2026
New
- Removing an account now also deletes the copy of its mail from your computer (message text, attachments and scans, snoozed and scheduled messages). It stays on the server.
- Uninstalling with “Delete the application data” ticked now also deletes mailniño's passwords from the keychain.
Fixed
- A web page open in your browser, or an attachment opened with the Open button, can no longer reach the mail in mailniño.
- Another program can no longer grant itself AI access to your mail.
New on the website: Privacy — what mailniño stores on your computer, what it sends where, and what stays after uninstalling.
1.3.0 — 26 September 2026
New
- mailniño is now on Linux too. A .deb package for Ubuntu, Debian and Mint, an AppImage for other distributions. Mail, calendar, address book, data boxes, AI connections and moving your settings from Windows — all of it. Text-from-scan reading is done by Tesseract, which the .deb package installs by itself. The app offers a new version on its own: the AppImage swaps itself out, the .deb installs once you type the admin password. How to install it is on the home page and in the help.
- Send from another account. The compose window now has a From row at the top. When a message arrived at the address of another of your accounts, your reply goes out from that account directly — signature included.
- Font size 100 / 125 / 150 % in Settings → Look & language. It enlarges the whole window; a size that wouldn't fit your screen simply isn't offered.
- Find a folder: an account with more than 20 folders now has a box above the folder list. The full path shows in a tooltip on hover — the same search works in Move to….
- Transfer settings now also carries across accounts signed in with Microsoft, and the signing certificate along with its password. The file is always password-protected.
- The classic dark theme is a shade lighter.
Fixed
- Every AI now asks for mail access on its own. Up to 1.2.1, allowing one was enough and the rest were never asked.
- Two Snoozed folders (Odložené and Snoozed): neither could be deleted. Now there is only one snooze folder, and an empty one can be deleted.
- A snoozed message on Seznam could fail to come back on its own. It is now found again, and Bring back now works for it too.
1.2.1 — 24 September 2026
New
- Connect AI with a single button. Settings → AI now has the buttons Connect Claude Desktop and Connect GitHub Copilot — mailniño writes itself into their settings, with the correct paths. Before, you had to type a command with the path to mailniño by hand, which was impossible without knowing that path.
- For AI in the terminal, a ready-made command is waiting to be copied — for Claude Code and for Copilot.
- For Claude Desktop, there is a file to download on the website that sets up the connection for you — open it in Claude and you are done.
- Text from a scan is now read even from photos that used to give nothing. When Windows finds no text at the original size, mailniño tries once more on a scaled-down image — and if nothing turns up even then, it tells you what to do (crop to the part with the text, take the photo close up and in focus).
1.2.0 — 18 September 2026
New
- You can now connect Microsoft mail by signing in with your Microsoft account — Outlook.com, Live, and work and school accounts. No password is entered.
- Creating your own IMAP folders on Seznam.cz now works.
- Every account has a clearly distinct colour, and you can pick your own in Settings → Accounts — from the palette, in the spectrum, by typing #rrggbb or with the eyedropper from anywhere on the screen.
Fixed
- Updating straight from mailniño could show a write error and only finished after clicking Retry. The installation now waits until mailniño has fully closed.
- Merging contacts: a different company, job title, birthday or note of the second contact was lost when merging. Now it is added to the note. If one of the contacts being merged was open for editing, saving it later could overwrite the merged contact — mailniño now closes it first and asks if it has unsaved changes.
- mailniño now remembers Keep separate by names and e-mail addresses instead of contact numbers, so a new pair isn’t missed after a contact is deleted. It also carries over to another computer with the address book.
- Calendar: the event form allowed an end before the start, and saving then failed with an error. Now the end moves with the start and the meeting keeps its length. mailniño won’t allow an end before the start; it sets it to the start + 30 minutes.
- The log shows the date and local time on every line (previously UTC time without a date).
1.1.2 — 15 September 2026
New
- A message that can’t go out because of the connection isn’t lost. It waits in the orange Outbox folder and goes out on its own once the connection is back. If the connection drops only in the middle of sending, there’s no telling whether the server managed to take the message. That’s why mailniño doesn’t send it again by itself, so it won’t arrive twice. Nothing is thrown away, though: the message stays where it was, and whether to send it again is up to you.
- Where a link really goes. When you hover over a link in a message, the address it really leads to appears at the bottom left, with the domain in bold.
- Anti-phishing aid – a warning about a potentially fraudulent link. When the text of a link shows a different domain than the one the link leads to, when there’s a name with an @ in front of the domain, when the domain mixes Latin letters with another alphabet, or when the address has a number instead of a name, mailniño warns you and asks before opening it. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- Find in message is also in the menu above the message (right mouse button, “⋯”).
- Maybe the same person. The address book offers to merge contacts that have the same e-mail or the same first and last name. Merging only combines the details and overwrites nothing, and a snapshot of the address book is saved first. After “Keep separate”, that pair isn’t offered again.
Improved
- Tab goes through the whole compose window — from the Subject across the formatting toolbar into the message text, then on to the signature, Send, Attach and all the way to the buttons in the window header. Attach and the image button on the toolbar can be opened from the keyboard.
- A shorter question about a new version: “Version … is here … If you say yes, mailniño downloads the update, checks its signature and installs it.”
- A message sent from the separate compose window is reported as sent in the main window.
- MSI: maintenance of an MSI installation goes straight to removal, without the greyed-out Change and Repair buttons. On the website, the MSI can be downloaded under the main button, with its file hash.
- The total number of messages next to folders can be turned off: Settings → Mail → Folder list, option “Show the total number of messages”. It’s on by default, so nobody loses anything.
Fixed
- When writing a formatted message, Tab couldn’t get you into the message text. It jumped back to the subject and added spaces to the end of it.
- A reopened reply draft forgot it was a reply. The option to place the signature was missing, and when sending, the signature was added below the quoted message. The message also went out without a reference to the original message, so the recipient’s mail app might not put it into the conversation. The same happened when writing in a separate window. A draft now also remembers whether the signature is attached, your edits to it for that message, and the priority.
- In a formatted reply there were two blank lines above the signature instead of one.
- A message’s priority didn’t reach the recipient. Choosing “High” or “Low” in the compose window wasn’t written into the sent message.
1.1.1 — 12 September 2026
New
- Seven new looks. Settings → Look & language now has Turquoise, Purple and Navy, each dark and light, plus Brown dark. All dark themes got an almost black background, and the message body and the preview of a document from an attachment now take on the theme’s colors. Buttons in the Dark theme have a darker fill, so white text on them is easier to read.
- An enlarged message and a message in its own window can do everything the preview can — translation, the conversation strip, meeting invitations, search in the text (Ctrl+F), the menu under the right mouse button and under “⋯”, labels and signature details.
- Bulleted and numbered lists. In a formatted message they sit on the toolbar right after bold, italic and underline — in a new message, a reply and a forward, in the small, enlarged and separate window. Tab indents an item one level, Shift+Tab moves it back. Anyone who reads the message as plain text sees dashes and numbers.
- Spell check while writing. Typos are underlined in the subject and text of a message, in a data box message and in a calendar event; addresses and search aren’t checked. You turn it off in Settings → Mail.
- Read only once opened. “Mark as read after” in Settings → Mail has a new option, Manually, only when opened: a message stays unread in the preview and counts as read only once you open it with a double-click, or mark it by hand.
- A draft can be edited straight from the preview — by clicking into its text, with the Edit button with a pencil above it, or via “Edit” in the menu.
- The language mailniño speaks to you in can follow Windows. Settings → Look & language has a new option, System default.
- Quoted text is readable in a dark theme too. When you reply to a formatted message (or forward it) and the sender wrote in dark text, it would all but disappear on a dark background. mailniño now takes the sender’s color away from such text and it takes on the theme’s color; in the sent message it will be in the normal text color. Readable text stays as it arrived.
- In the enlarged compose window, the text field fills the whole window, just as in the separate compose window.
- Escape also closes the panel with text from a scan.
Fixed
- The mailniño close button closed the app without warning even while a message was being written in it — it only asked about a message popped out into its own window. The close button of a message window behaved the same while a reply was being written in it. Now both ask.
- Moving settings to another computer left out three things: the look of the “important” mark (star or flag), the default format of a new message and the kind of label — on the new computer every transferred label was a Topic, even if it was a Status.
1.1.0 — 11 September 2026
New
- mailniño spoils its users — it can now update itself, completely on its own and safely. In Settings → About you choose how: Just tell me, Ask, then install (default), or Install on its own. An update is installed only with the correct signature.
- mailniño as an MSI too, for rolling out in a company — one for all six languages. It installs the update for all users at once (with administrator consent).
- mailniño’s data has a new home (
AppData\Local). It moves there by itself the first time you start the app; with a large mailbox that takes a moment. - The web installation (EXE) and the MSI don’t fight on one computer — they get along. On a computer with the MSI, the web installation offers to download the MSI. The MSI tidies away the web installation and leaves its data. And uninstalling the web installation won’t delete data the MSI still uses.
Fixed
- On a computer with several Windows users, only one of them could turn on “Send scheduled messages even when mailniño is not running”; for the others, turning it on failed.
- The automatic cleanup menu showed the message “Automatic cleanup is off.” instead of the “Off” option.
- An AI connected via MCP couldn’t reach mailniño in the installed app — it reported that mailniño wasn’t running.
- The maximized compose window didn’t stretch across the whole app on a wide screen.
1.0.11 — 9 September 2026
New
- You tell search where to look. Above the results there is now a Where to search switch: This folder · Whole account · All accounts. In the combined mailbox there is also All mail. A hit from another account opens straight away — mailniño switches to that account for you. The scope isn’t remembered; every search starts fresh.
- You can also search by when the message arrived. Any time, the last 7 or 30 days, 3 / 6 / 12 months, last year, or your own from–to range. ⚠️ In a folder mailniño hasn’t loaded yet this isn’t possible — it says so and offers to search without the period.
- Labels now come in two kinds: Topic and Status. A Topic (“Invoices”, “Work”) is what the message is about, and it stays on it for good. A Status is what should be done with the message (“To do”, “Pay”) — and it comes off by itself once you move the message out of the Inbox. mailniño says what it took off, and one click puts it back. The label the app puts on snoozed messages is protected — moving never strips it.
- System folders are protected. Sent, Trash, Drafts and Junk can no longer be deleted or renamed — and it’s the engine that enforces it, not just the window, so dragging with the mouse won’t get around it either.
- Message source. The message menu gained “Show message source” — it shows the headers, or the whole message exactly as it arrived, and it can be copied. For a very long message you see its beginning; save the whole thing with “Save as .eml”.
- A message being written in its own window won’t get lost. When you have a message popped out into its own window, closing mailniño asks first. And closing that popped-out window itself asks too, if you changed anything in it since popping it out — with the choice to save a draft, discard the changes, or keep writing.
- A new message can start out formatted. Settings gained New message → Start in format:. It applies only to a newly written message — replies and forwards still follow the format the original arrived in.
- The calendar has its own tab in Settings.
- Thumbnails can be hidden when there are many attachments. From seven attachments up there is now Show / Hide thumbnails.
- A freshly created folder sits at the top of “Move to” — in addition to the five most recently used ones, not instead of them.
- Tab in the message body indents instead of jumping out of the field. You still leave the field with Shift+Tab.
- The signature in the compose window is collapsed and opens via “Edit signature” — that frees up several lines. Signature placement was added as well.
Fixed
- Quoting “only the selection” no longer picks up an old selection. It takes the newer one, and in an HTML message it keeps the formatting. If the selection was cleared in the meantime, mailniño says so and leaves the quote alone instead of emptying it.
1.0.10 — 6 September 2026
New
- Reads text from a scan. Attachments that are images or scanned PDFs now have an “Extract text” button. The text appears next to the preview and arrives page by page, so you get the first page straight away. Ten pages are read at a time, and longer documents offer “Read 10 more”. The text is saved for search, so you can later find a scanned invoice by what is written in it. Nothing is sent anywhere — Windows reads it right on your computer, and the app does not grow by a single megabyte. The reading languages come from Windows; if none are installed, the app says so and points you to where they are added.
- Speed up mailniño. Settings has a new Maintenance tab showing what takes up space, with two buttons. Speed up deletes nothing, it only reorganises the mail file. Free up space discards stored copies of old messages — by default those older than six months. Your mail is not deleted: the messages stay in the list, can still be found by their content, and are downloaded from the server when you open them. Until then you will not see them offline. The same tab now holds automatic cleanup of Trash and Junk, which used to sit with the folders.
- Links in PDFs open your browser. Clicking a link inside a PDF preview — a “Pay” button on an invoice, say — used to do nothing. Now the page opens in your browser. This does not cover addresses that are not written out in full in the document (
mydomain.cominstead ofhttps://mydomain.com) — those still do not open.
Fixed
- Your reply to an invitation no longer gets lost. After you replied to a meeting, the strip above the message forgot it once browser data was cleared, and on a second computer it did not know about the reply at all — so it looked as if you had never answered. mailniño now remembers it itself.
- People dropped from a meeting are told. When you removed a guest from your own meeting, it stayed in their calendar and nobody told them they were no longer invited. They now get a cancellation — only they do, the other guests keep the meeting.
- “Selection only” quoting keeps its formatting. In an HTML message the selected part was inserted as plain text, without bold and without links, even though the full quote had them.
1.0.9 — 5 September 2026
New
- Blind carbon copy (Bcc). At the end of the Cc row there is a new “+ Bcc” button — click it and a third address row appears. Anyone you put there receives the message, but the other recipients never learn about them; the delivered message carries no trace. The row stays hidden by default, so the compose window looks the way it always did. Addresses are suggested from the address book just like in To and Cc. The copy kept in Sent does include the hidden addresses, so you can look up later who actually got the message — what leaves your computer does not. A saved draft remembers the hidden addresses. Replies and forwards never inherit them.
1.0.8 — 3 September 2026
New
- mailniño speaks Slovak. A sixth language, and a complete one — menus, settings, messages, the installer and the help on this site. Switch it in Settings → Look & language; the change is immediate, and after installation the language follows Windows, so usually there is nothing to do. Czech data boxes offer themselves in Slovak too — it is the Czech ISDS, and a Slovak sole trader with a Czech company number has one by law. ⚠️ One thing it cannot do in Slovak: the built-in message translator has no Slovak model, so the translation offer does not appear when the app is set to Slovak. Settings says so; anyone who wants translation can plug in their own model.
- Loading a company from its ID now covers Slovak companies. Type the company number into a contact and the company fills itself in — now not only from the Czech ARES register but also from the Slovak RPO. This matters even if you never touch Slovak: a Slovak company number looks exactly like a Czech one (eight digits), so until now mailniño answered „not found“. Now it asks both registers. For a Slovak sole trader it also recognises their trade name („Mária Nováková - Art Time“) and puts it in the Company field, not in the surname.
- An address in a contact has fields of its own. Street and number, postcode, town and country each separately — and when you load a company by its ID, the address sorts itself into them.
- Printing copes with a badly built newsletter. Some newsletters print scattered — the content on page three, blank sheets in between. The fault is not mailniño's: such a message prints like that from anywhere. mailniño now adjusts its layout for paper. Tried on 14 real messages: they had four blank pages, after the adjustment none, and the other ten did not change at all.
- The signature can be edited right in the compose window. Click into it and rewrite it. It applies to that one message only — the signature saved on the account stays as it was.
- Escape closes an attachment preview. Any of them — until now Escape only closed an enlarged image and did nothing for PDFs or Word and Excel documents. The preview also gained a close cross, so closing is at hand even with a tall PDF.
- Taking a message out of spam lifts the block. Move a message out of spam to anywhere but the Trash and mailniño lifts the permanent block on its sender — a way back for those condemned unfairly. Until now the block stayed, so at the next connection the message was swept back into spam. ⚠️ If a whole domain was blocked, the whole domain is let through — mailniño says so.
Fixed
- Delete in the signature preview wiped the message being written. If you clicked into the signature preview in the compose window and pressed Delete, the draft disappeared along with its attachments and the forwarded original went to the Trash. In the body, the subject and the „To“ field Delete behaved normally — it slipped out only from the signature preview.
1.0.7 — 30 August 2026
New
- Automatic tidying of Trash and Junk. Set how long messages should stay there — 30, 90, 180, 365 days, or your own number — and mailniño deletes them for you. You will find it in Settings → Mail, or quicker by right-clicking the folder — and you pick the period straight from that menu, no need to open Settings. When tidying is on, the menu item is red and says how old a message has to be. It can only be switched on for these two folders — above Archive or Inbox the option does not appear at all. Age counts from delivery, not from the date written in the header (in junk mail the sender makes that up). Deletion is permanent, so mailniño asks before switching it on.
- For a sole trader, the company ID fills in a first name and surname instead of a company — a self-employed person trades under their own name, so it does not belong in the Company field.
- “New contact” is now on the home screen too, next to “New event”.
1.0.6 — 28 August 2026
New
- Search finally sees inside attachments. A PDF invoice, a Word contract, an Excel sheet — you find them by what is inside. Type a reference number or a company name from the invoice and the message shows up, even though that word appears nowhere in the e-mail itself; such a hit gets a lit paperclip in the list so it is clear why. Attachment names are always searchable, and in parts —
Invoice_2026-08_Acme.pdfis found by “invoice” and “acme”. A scan yields nothing (the text in it is for the eye only), and images, videos and archives are not downloaded for search at all. You can switch it off in Settings → Mail. - The address book is a real address book. Until now it was a list of names and addresses. A contact now has phones, addresses, websites, company, job title, birthday and notes, each with its own label — and as many as you like. Plus groups to filter by. Contacts import and export as vCard, so they carry over from Google, Apple and Outlook.
- Company number: type it and the company fills itself in. Add the company ID field to a contact, type the eight digits — and mailniño fills in the registered name and address from the public Czech ARES register. Whatever you already filled in stays. It is the one place in the address book that reaches out of your computer, and only the number goes out; mailniño tells you it asked. A typo is caught before anything is sent.
- Your own field on a contact. A contract number, a gate code, a remote-desktop id. It stays on your computer — it reaches an exported vCard only if you tick “export” on it. The default is not to.
- The mark on a message now knows “done”. Clicking cycles through none → important → done. How it is drawn is up to you in Settings → Appearance: a star like Gmail, or a flag like Outlook — that part is only the look. “Done”, though, is a real state, stored the way Outlook marks a completed message, so what you click here shows up there too.
- Two pink themes — dark and light, next to light, dark and “follow the system”.
- Moving to a new computer carries more. Besides accounts and settings it now takes the address book, the calendar and your Czech data box logins — each with its own tick box, and by default everything except signing certificates goes along.
- An AI can help tidy the address book — and you decide how far it may go. Weeding out spam contacts that got imported from incoming mail, judging duplicates, tidying company names: nobody wants to do that one at a time. In Settings → AI you therefore pick one of three levels for each connected program: read and analyse only · propose changes for you to click through · change things directly. Proposals wait at the top of the address book and each says why the AI thinks so. A program cannot ask for a higher level — you grant it. And because merging and deleting a contact cannot be undone, mailniño writes a snapshot of the whole address book to a file before every such change.
- When mailniño will not run, the log is two clicks away. It is in Settings → About — and, more to the point, right on the screen that appears when the mail service is not answering. It records where things got stuck; it holds no message content and no passwords.
Fixed
- The window remembers where you put it. Close mailniño, open it — and it is where it was, the same size. If you unplug the monitor it stood on, it opens on the one that is left.
- The list no longer shows a stale result. Switching folders or typing in search quickly could let a slower answer arrive late and overwrite the fresh one.
- Escape in the address book closes only the contact you are editing. Until now one tap closed the edit and threw you out of the address book as well.
- A clearer warning when translating an outgoing message. The old one claimed the recipient would not see the original — but the original is attached by default, so that was not true.
One more thing
- The first start after the update may take a moment. mailniño rebuilds the search index once so attachments can be added to it. It happens only that once.
- Attachments are read in the background and only after message texts, so on a large mailbox it takes a while before search reaches every invoice.
1.0.5 — 25 August 2026
New
- Move your settings to a new computer — mailniño packs itself into a single file. In Settings → Transfer to another computer you take along your accounts, sorting rules, labels, blocked senders, address book, unified inbox and the way you have mailniño set up: appearance, layout and the language it speaks to you in. Load the file on the other computer and mailniño is at home. Account passwords and signing certificates come along only if you give the file a password — without it that part stays shut. An account that already exists on the new computer is not overwritten unless you ask for it. Mail is not transferred this way; that is what backup is for.
- Translating foreign-language messages — on your own computer, and only when you ask. An offer appears above a message in a foreign language. One click translates it and keeps its formatting — colours, images and layout. The text of the message never leaves your machine. A language is downloaded once (21 MB) and only when you click. For a sender you read regularly you can say “always translate this one”. The built-in translator handles pairs with English; if you have Ollama on your computer, you can let mailniño use it in Settings → Message translation — it manages German to Czech directly and translates a class better.
- Write a message in a foreign language. Write it in your own language and mailniño shows you the translation for approval. The compose window has a Translate button; you can still edit both the translation and the original, and it becomes your message only when you press Use. The original wording is attached below the message and can be unchecked. This part needs Ollama with a translation model.
Fixed
- On a freshly installed Windows, mailniño did not start at all. One system library was missing; it now travels with the app. If you tried it on a new computer and nothing worked, please try again.
- The window no longer starts with its bottom edge under the taskbar and no longer jumps while opening.
- A sent data-box message stays in Sent. It could disappear when the list refreshed in the wrong order.
- Search results match what is in the box. Typing quickly could show results for the previous query.
- A draft can be deleted. Clicking a draft selects it, double-clicking opens it, and Discard really discards it.
- The app name is declined correctly in Czech sentences — three places read “mailniñoa”.
- A blocked image now leaves a proper placeholder with a caption, not a squashed strip.
- Uninstalling now says out loud that all user data will be deleted and that it cannot be undone — now in all five languages.
1.0.4 — 21 August 2026
New
- mailniño speaks German. A fifth language, and the whole of it — menus, settings, notices, the installer and the help on this site. You switch languages in Settings → Look & language and the change is immediate; after installing, the language follows your Windows settings, so usually there is nothing to do.
- Link preview. Put a link into a message and mailniño offers to turn it into a card with a picture, a title and a description. Offers — it never calls out on its own.
- Your signature doesn't repeat itself in a conversation. When it is already in the thread, the app offers to switch it off for the rest of the conversation.
Fixed
- Fixed the controls for how much of a message a reply quotes.
- mailniño now also checks whether incoming messages are correctly formatted.
- The „your signature is already in this conversation” notice floats above the text, so you can see it.
- When a sender links to an image that isn't anywhere, mailniño says so in that spot.
The first start after updating may take a while. mailniño goes through your stored messages once so that images show up in them again. It happens only that once: the next start is instant again.
1.0.3 — 20 August 2026
New
- mailniño speaks Ukrainian. A fourth language, and the whole of it — menus, settings, notices, the installer and the help on this site. You switch languages in Settings → Look & language and the change is immediate. After installing, the language follows your Windows settings, so usually there is nothing for you to do at all.
- And Czech data boxes are offered in Ukrainian too.
- Each account has its own colour in the unified inbox. A soft tint behind the line under a message says which mailbox it came from, without you having to read it. The same colour is on the home screen.
- The message list is denser — rows have tighter spacing, so more of them fit on screen.
- Drop-down menus now look like the rest of the app. Until now Windows drew them, so they had square corners our styling could not reach.
Fixed
- On a message that holds nothing but a tracking pixel, the app promised images. The “remote content blocked” bar lit up even where there is no image to see — and once you allowed it, nothing appeared. Allowing worked the whole time; the mistake was in what the app promised. Now, with a mere pixel, it says what happened and offers no buttons.
- The “which mailbox this is from” line was not dimmed and carried the same weight as the subject.
1.0.2 — 19 August 2026
New
- mailniño speaks Spanish — a tip of the hat to its own name. “Niño” is Spanish for boy, after all. So from now on the app speaks the language it was named in, too. The translation is complete — menus, settings, notices and the help on this site. You switch languages in Settings → Look & language. The change is immediate, with no need to restart the app. And after a fresh install the language follows your Windows settings, so in practice there is nothing for you to do at all 😉
- Czech data boxes are only offered in Czech. It is a Czech state service, so it does not show up on its own in Spanish or English; anyone who needs it switches it on in Settings → Accounts.
- Where the app opens after launch has one more option: the Inbox of the default account.
- A message opened across the whole app now has the same actions as the preview — Reply, Reply all, Forward — and Escape takes you back to the list. The same goes for a message detached into its own window.
- The installer speaks Spanish now as well.
- The Inbox icon finally says what it is for. It used to be a plain in-tray with nothing to suggest “this is where mail arrives”. It now has a discreet arrow pointing down into it.
Fixed
- Backup no longer reports errors on empty folders. It did back everything up correctly before as well, but on a folder without a single message it claimed something could not be saved — and called them messages when they were folders.
- Text fields all have the same shape and the settings breathe better.
- The unified inbox icon has rounded corners and even spacing on all four sides.
1.0.1 — 18 August 2026
New
- Message zoom. Enlarge small text with Ctrl and the mouse wheel, or Ctrl and + / −; Ctrl 0 goes back to the original size. The same sits in the right-click menu under Message size. Only the message text grows — the list and panels stay as they were.
- You decide when a message counts as read. In Settings → Mail, choose how long it has to stay open: from Straight away to 10 s.
- New icon for the unified inbox. “All mail” now shows a stack of envelopes instead of a star — a star means favourites, not everything together.
Fixed
- Replying in Sent. “Reply” on your own message now writes to whoever the message went to — not back to you.
- PDF preview. Opening a URL from the text of a PDF — an address on an invoice, say — sometimes showed a 404 Not Found page instead, and mailniño had to be closed and started again. The preview no longer leaves the app.
- An enlarged image attachment now fits the window. A tall photo used to overflow at the bottom and the whole window had to be resized.
- Automatic mail check really runs after installation. It stayed off until it was switched on by hand in Settings.

The first full release. The installer is digitally signed, so Windows shows the publisher's name.
